Having supported the NSPCC for 40 years, our growing relationship with NSPCC JERSEY led to the Foundation purchasing a building, which in 2013 was donated to the NSPCC after being completely refitted. It is now an award-winning centre.
Now based for ten years at The Gower Centre in Stopford Road, NSPCC Jersey believe that by everybody working together in our Island community, we can prevent child sexual abuse and build lasting change for generations to come.
NSPCC Jersey are a specialist child sexual abuse service who offer direct support to children and their families and work to raise awareness with professionals and the wider community to enable everyone to understand, support and protect children.
Letting the Future In; a ground-breaking therapy service which helps children and young people recover from the impact of sexual abuse. This service has recently been extended to also support the siblings of those children who have experienced abuse.
Speak Out. Stay Safe; a programme delivered in primary schools that helps children to understand that they always have a right to feel safe, and that they can speak to a safe adult or Childline if they ever need help or support.
Childline; available 24 hours a day to help children and young people deal with anything that worries them. Around 600 children in Jersey and Guernsey are helped annually with these counselling sessions accessible online at childline.org.uk and by telephone on 08001111.
PANTS; the highly popular Pantosaurus character, educating children to keep themselves safe, and used as a tool by parents to open delicate conversations with their children.
